Recent Training, March 22-April 3

With the women's basketball tournaments in full swing, I've been writing elsewhere recently.
Our TnT group is riding together every Saturday. Last week was 40 miles on the shoreline, the week before, 35 in Monroe (with an unexpected BIG hill). This weekend, we will be practicing pace lines (riding behind each other (drafting off the rider in front), which really saves energy; then how to rotate the rider in front who is doing most of the work. The second in line uses somewhere between 20-30% less effort than the lead rider.
During the week, I try to get to the gym a few times, and out to ride at least once. OnThursday, I rode 31 miles from my North Haven home & back, passing, among other things, four separate places where the spring peepers were loud enough to drown out road noise. A clear sign of spring, at last, even with temperatures around 55. Averaged about 20.3 miles an hour, including the hills, so I seem to be getting stronger.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far. We are up over $3000 of the $4500 I am committed to raise. Keep those dollars coming.
