Training troubles

For the first time since I started triathlon, I have a nagging injury. I think that long distance bike riding is not a good prep for running, as my hamstrings are much tighter from the cycling, and that is affecting my achilles tendon in my right leg. Very painful & swollen after just a 7 mile run on July 5, I will have to scale back my run training as I approach the concentrated part of my triathlon season:
July 19 : Mossman sprint in Norwalk -- the race I've done 4 times before, and site of my personal best.
July 26: NYCity Olympic Triathlon -- the swim is all downstream, and the 55+ runners get to start in the 3rd wave, just four minutes into the race (5:59 a.m.)
August 9: Niantic sprint
August 16: Park City Olympic (if I do it) -- my 1st ever Olympic (of 3)
So, a lot of stretching, some slow, short runs, and hope that I can maintain fitness in the other two disciplines while I rest the achilles. Bummer.
