The final weekend of the "hard" two weeks of training. After spending the morning fixing an electrical short in the house, I did a big brick: 35 mile hilly bike ride (Mansion Road, Tuttle, Bethany Mountain, Shepherd hills), then 6 mile run, managing just around 9 minute miles. I pushed pretty hard the whole time, and was out for 3 hours of exercise. Fueling seems to have worked better: 2 gels : GU tastes way better than Clif shots, then some sports beans on the run, and 3 bottles of water. I am definitely going to carry a water bottle on the run: I justwill not get enough water into me if I try to drink out of cups. Tired, now.
