August 9

Short bike & run (10 mi., 2 mi) as warm up for tomorrow's first (for me) Olympic distance triathlon, the Park City Mossman. Now that the swim is comfortable for me (what a change!), I enter the first two sections of the tri with confidence, then I need to grind out the run. But, this is a first, and lots of stuff to learn, especially how to fuel (eat) during the race so I don't "bonk" (run out of energy). We'll see how it goes. Looking to make it in 3 hours or less. I know that Coaches Dennis & Kellie are signed up, so there will be some familiar faces. Apprehensive, but OK & looking forward to the challenge.
